Shelby is Web3's first decentralized, cloud-grade hot storage protocol that transforms static data into active, monetizable assets with sub-second read speeds and high throughput. It uses a global mesh of high-performance nodes connected by a dedicated fiber-optic backbone with edge caching, smart contract–based access control, and monetization tools like usage-based pricing and tipping. Shelby operates natively on Aptos but is chain-agnostic with planned support for Ethereum, Solana, and modular chains, aiming to challenge traditional cloud storage monopolies and support Web3, AI, and DePIN applications.
